    After spraying NanoA in low heat input and rapid cooling, the Coating has mainly Amorphous+Nanocrystalline and excellent corrosion resist, high hardness and wear resist, good bonding. The high melting particles in NanoA can carry on the powder forging to reduce the pull stress. The max dense coating thickness can be above 0.6mm, no crack, normally no need sealing.

    1. Patent NanoA Amorphous+Nanocrystalline Powder Description

    AdvancedMetal patent NanoA Gas Atomized Powder in the sizes 8-25um, 15-45um etc, after metal thermal spraying in low heat 

    input and rapid cooling, the feature of Coating can still maintain mainly Amorphous+Nanocrystalline microstructure, which has 

    excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness and wear resistance, good bonding strength as Liquidmetal or Nanosteel. Application 

    temperature is under 400 °C.

    The coating from traditional thermal spraying is of pull stress, thus easy to crack resulting from the metal cooling shrinkage and the 

    max. coating thickness is about 0.3mm. The high melting particles in AdvancedMetal patent NanoA Gas Atomized Powder can carry 

    on the powder forging on the cooled layer to reduce the pull stress or even form the press stress, thus not easy to crack and the 

    max. dense coating thickness can be much bigger about 0.6mm than Nanosteel or Liquidmetal. The coating of thickness over 200um 

    is normally no need sealing.

    2. Coating and Powder Characters

    • Excellent Corrosion Resistance

    The corrosion resistance of NanoA dense metal Amorphous+Nanocrystalline coating is superior to 316L.

    • Superior Wear Resistance 

    The wear resistance of AdvancedMetal NanoA coating is very good for mainly Amorphous+Nanocrystalline microstructure, which 

    hardness is about HV700-800.

    • Low Oxygen and Superior Flowability

    The oxygen content, superior sphericity and flowability of AdvancedMetal patent NanoA Amorphous+Nanocrystalline Gas Atomized 

    Metal Spraying Powder are very good. 

    • Lower price and highly yield

    The cost is very competitive than Nanosteel or Liquidmetal because of the increased yield. 


    3. Applications

    Suitable for the severe corrosion and wear resist Long and Big diameter Rolls, Rods and Tubes of multi layers HVAF or HVOF metal 

    thermal spraying as follows:

    3.1.2 Not suitable for small areaor complex parts.

    3.2 Suitable Guns for powder size 8-25um: All HVAF guns result in higher coating hardness, higher deposition rate, higher efficiency, 

    lower cost than HVOF. HVOF guns of Axial or Centre Direction powder feeding.         

    Suitable Guns for powder size 15-53um: HVOF guns of Radial or Vertical Direction powder feeding.

    3.3 Process suggestion: Short Barrel. Long Spraying Distance. Low Flame Temperature. Each pass thickness maximum 8um. Pressure 

    air or Dry ice for rapid cooling.


    4. Packaging

    The standard packaging is by vacuum bag per 10 kg. We can do according to the customer requirements for packaging.
